“Come aside and rest awhile!”

In this Easter season, let us look again at the lives we have been so generously given and let us let fall away the useless baggage that we carry -- old pains, old habits, old ways of seeing and feeling -- and let us have the courage to begin again. Life is very short, and we are no sooner here than it is time to depart again, and we should use to the full the time that we still have. –John O’Donohue

Note: It should be a relaxing space for a small group.  Let us know if there are financial challenges.  It is more important to us that we use the space for whoever needs it. Blessings of Easter, Sr Lois

Continues on Monday and Thursdays: 'Painting the Stars'

This program discusses the Universe Story.  There are several short excerpts by various speakers, followed by discussion questions.  I have used it with groups – young and old – and have always found a ready and appreciative audience.  The topic is closely related to the mandate of Nano Nagle Birthplace and to the present climate crisis in our world.

You are invited to meet virtually with like-minded people for 1 – 1 ½ hours, at 7:30 on Monday and Thursday evenings (a continuation from March).

To register please contact secretary@nanonaglebirthplace.ie and you will be sent the link for the Zoom connection.

April 2021:
13th April: Wood you Believe -  Coping and Hoping, asking the right questions in a time of crisis

Jim uses his amazing wood carvings to explore core human questions. He is a psychotherapist whose special interest is exploring how the past that is unacknowledged can still influence the present  both at personal and ancestral level.

The Corona Storm

Storms come into our lives for a reason.

They last for a season.

Learn the reason and outlast the season.

What can we learn, how can we heal?

How do we weather the storm that is Corona?

10th March: 'Pondering on Life'
  • based on Jan Richardson’s writings on Sanctuary, invites us to imagine what Sanctuary might mean for us.  Generally, it implies a time to rest, to ponder and to dream as we contemplate where we are in the unfolding path of our lives during this pandemic, and how it calls us deeper into the life of the world during 2021.

You are invited to meet virtually with like-minded people for 1 – 1 ½ hours beginning at 7:30 on Thursday evenings beginning on March 10th.  Sister Lois Greene from Nano Nagle Birthplace in Ballygriffin is suggesting we try it for six weeks and see where it leads us.  It is an opportunity to meet the new Director of Nano Nagle Birthplace and it will give her opportunity to meet you. Mostly it will provide a space to reflect and respond to our call to life in our present circumstances.  To register please contact secretary@nanonaglebirthplace.ie and you will be sent the link for the Zoom connection.
