Our farm is a 32 acre IOFGA approved working organic farm which operates to the highest environmental standards. Here you can see first-hand Geothermal Heating, A Wood Pellet Boiler, Solar Panels and A Working Reed Bed System. We are happy to share with all interested groups about our efforts in this area.

Whilst walking the grounds, there is scope to meet the animals in residence, which include some mixed breeds of Hereford, Shorthorn and Aberdeen Angus cattle, sheep, laying hens, cats, two donkeys and three Khaki Campbell ducks, which act as slug wardens! The pollytunnels, kitchen garden and allotment project are a great example of the variety of crops that can be locally and organically produced in Ireland. Organic vegetables and eggs are in bountiful supply, and along with sustaining the centre, they are sold directly on site at the farmers market and in the centre shop.

Allotments are available to rent on an eleven month contract basis. The cost is 100 euro per plot which is 20ft x 20ft.

There are on-going courses on sustainable living and organic farming being run at the centre. Please see our Course Calendar
